We always have a great experience at Shalimar Restaurant! Our server Abdul is amazing — he’s always kind, attentive, and makes every visit special. Each time we come, he recommends the best dishes from the menu, and he never misses! Today he treated us to a new dessert planned for next month’s menu — the Toffee Cake — and it was honestly the best cake ever! Super flavorful, rich, and absolutely hit the spot. I have been coming to Shalimar for many years, and they have truly been a staple in New Jersey for over 35 years. Their food has always been consistently delicious and never disappoints. About a year and a half ago, they opened their new hall, which is spacious, well organized, and perfect for hosting larger gatherings and events.
We had a wonderful Iftar experience at Shalimar. The arrangements were thoughtfully planned with tables beautifully set up with fruits, snacks, and a variety of refreshing drinks to help break the fast. Everything was organized in a very comfortable and welcoming way. What truly stood out was the attention to detail, including a dedicated space available for prayer after breaking the fast.
